An Indianapolis man was killed early today when he was struck by a car while
walking on southbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Fishers.
Michael Fraker, 42, was declared dead at the scene, according to a press release
issued by Sgt. Gerry Hepp of Fishers Police Department .
Kellie Schneider, 21, Indianapolis was driving a silver Oldsmobile Alero southbound
on I-69 at about 2 a.m. when she struck Fraker, who was on foot, the release
said.
Schneider experienced minor injuries and was transported to the Community North

Investigators do not know why Fraker was walking on the highway, Hepp said.
“There were no immediate vehicles in the area to indicate that (Fraker’s) vehicle was disabled and he was walking to get help,” he said.
